MINUTES OF THE LINCOLN COUNTY HORSEMAN’S ASSOCIATION MEETING HELD 07/03/08

 

Meeting called to order at 715pm by President Keith Gentry

 

Minutes from the June 1st were read by Buzz.  Motion made to accept the minutes as read by Dena seconded by Nikki, all were in favor.

 

Treasurer’s report was submitted by Dena.  Our current balance $916.09.  The Clean Deposit for Relay for Life is being held back because the restrooms were not cleaned and food and trash were left all around the grounds. Motion was made to accept the report as read by Buzz, seconded by Nikki, all were in favor.

OLD BUSINESS

 

 

Assoc. timers borrowed by the Peners have not been returned because they have not found all of the parts.  We will receive the timers with cables and not the wireless set as previously thought.

 

Profit from the Open Show was about $285.  Patrons want us to put on another show and also award ribbons along with the cash paybacks.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Keith would like to set up a Pening and Sorting Practice night, date TBD. Cost would be $25 per person for 3 runs.  Motion made to accept Keith’s proposal by Dena, 2nd by Nikki, all were in favor.

 

Nikki proposed having another Open show.  The tentative date is 9 Aug at 7pm.  Motion made to accept Nikki’s proposal by Dena, 2nd by Nikki, all were in favor.

 

Keith was contacted by Mike Robertson about the Assoc. host a rough stock rodeo. Since he did not show up for the meeting, we will table the discussion until he comes and provides the details.

 

Rob Williams has cut and rolled the Hay.  He will take his half and sell the clubs half for us at the best price he can get.
